ASSALAMUALAIKUM..

Today class is in the lab, Miss Zu ask our group to present our thesis statement. 

These are the thesis statement that we present

1. Although less people believe in it but the predictions of the doomsday has already make people being aware of it as the Mayan prophecy, Nasa scientists and the continuous disaster keeps showing their evidence about the day of judgment
2. Even though only small group of people that believes about the forecast of the end of the world but the rumor already make people being alert about the doomsday as the Mayan prophecy, Nasa scientists and the continuous disaster that happened gave their thought and proofs about  the doomsday. 
3. Despite the fact that only a few people have no doubt with the forecast but still the predictions has already gain attentions from people around the world as the Mayan prophecy, Nasa scientists and the continuous disaster always happened.

When we presenting it Miss Zu ask our classmate to comment about it. Then she said that our thesis statement is sound like argumentative and we have to be a little bit more specific. We have to redo it again and show the new thesis statement to Miss Zu before 6.00 p.m. So these is the thesis statement that she approved

"The end of the world has been predicted many times, and none of it becomes true, however, due to the Mayan prophecy, prediction of scientists and the continuous disaster that happened make people started to prepare themselves to confront the doomsday".

Okay I do not attend to today class because I have a fever. So our group is not presenting the thesis statement and we have to do it tomorrow. I hope Miss Zu will accept it.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM 

For today, Miss Zu is not attending the class so she asks us to come to the library and do a discussion about the thesis statement with the cause and effect group. Rozita and I ask Ezani group about the right way to do the thesis statement as her group had already present the thesis statement yesterday and Miss Zu said their thesis statement is already have the basic idea but they must change it little bit more.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM..
Today Miss Zu want to see our 3 thesis statement, so she ask if there is any volunteer to present their thesis statement, Fikri and Faiz Adha is the one that have a gut to present it first. Unfortunately Miss Zu rejected it. I am very afraid and nervous since I do not know if our thesis statement right or not. Since it is almost 6.00 p.m, Miss Zu said that for the argumentative group, we do not have to present it today, but we must repair it back. When all of our classmates are already out from the class, Rozita, Nad ,Nadiah Salehin and I went to Miss Zu and ask her about our thesis statement. First she help Nadiahs’ group than she read our thesis statement. 
These are our thesis statement:

1.  Notwithstanding the proofs that people give, the Earth is still in its own orbit although it pass 2012 because the intelligent people will find many ways to discover all the malady and adversity before it occur, researchers will recognized if there is unusual thing in the space and the forecast of the Maya is just one of fictitious story.

2.  Although both side which from the scientific and from the ancient shows many strong evidence but it is emphatically that the world will never ever be end in 2012 because in modern times all the disease and disaster can be predicted before it take place, scientist will alarmed if anything will happened to the outside of the Earth and the prediction of the Mayan is just a myth.

3.  Even if the evidence of the end of the world is being listed as many as people want to but 2012 will be not be the ending for the world as nowadays all the sickness and calamity can be detected before it happened, Nasa people will noticed if anything strange that happened in the outer space and the prophecy of the Mayan is just a myth.

She comment that our thesis statement is wrong and she suggest that we have to change our essay type since our topic is not suitable for the argumentative essay. So from the argumentative essay we have to a cause and effect essay. Before we leave, she asks us to change our title and inform her about our new title...

ASSALAMUALAIKUM..

Today Miss Zu teach us about THE HOOK where we can apply it in our term paper essay. The purpose of the hook is to grab the reader’s attention to read our essay. There are 8 ways to do an introduction that are, definition, contrast to the thesis statement, fact & statistic, current events, rhetorical question, quotations, personal example and funnel/broad topic/general statement.
So Rozita and I decided to do rhetorical question, quotation and contrast for the thesis statement.
